Benefits of becoming a member of MUFON Los Angeles.By joining MUFON Los Angeles, you will be helping to support our monthly programs, featuring a variety of well-known and respected speakers, as well as our investigation and research programs. Members enjoy a greatly reduced admission price to our programs, and receive our periodic newsletter. Members have an opportunity, as their time and desires permit, to increase their level of participation in our organization. Along with the discounts, members will have access to the MUFON Los Angeles Member Forum., a place where members can discuss the meetings or anything UFO or MUFON Los Angeles related. We encourage members to let our Board of Directors know of any special talents, skills or equipment they can contribute to our projects and programs.
Alternatively, only a MUFON members are entitled to product and Symposium discounts and other privileges offered by that organization such as Field Investigator (FI) certification. However, the State Director of the state in which the FI resides is permitted to withhold cases based on the "suitability" of an FI. Therefore, membership in both organizations is highly encouraged in order to take advantage of the benefits of both organizations. For more information regarding MUFON membership click here. |

Steps to take to Join MUFON Los Angeles:
1.) Decide what category you fall under:
- Individual Membership $30.00
- Family Membership $45.00
- Student Membership $25.00
2.) Fill out the below application - All fields are required unless otherwise noted.
3.) After you submit your application you will have the opportunity to select your method of payment
(check, PayPal)
NOTE: Email is the preferred method of communicationg with members. It is therefore necessary that you provide a valid email address to ensure that you do not miss information that you are entitled to receive with your paid membership.
Incomplete applications will delay processing If choosing to pay via check, please bring your check with you to the first meeting. Once the check has been received your membership will be approved.

Termination of Member Causes Section 2.12.
(a) The membership of a member shall automatically terminate on the occurrence of any of the following causes: (1) The voluntary resignation of a member;
(2) Where a membership is issued for a specified term, such as one year, the expiration of such term;
(3) The death of a member;
(4) The nonpayment of dues, subject to the limitations set forth in subparagraph (b) of this Section.
(5) The termination of all memberships or any class of members upon the amendment of these bylaws by the Board of Directors. Nonpayment of Dues
(b) The membership of any person who fails to pay his or her dues when due and within thirty (30) days thereafter shall automatically terminate at the end of such thirty (30)- day period, provided such member was given written notice of the due date of the renewal at least sixty (60) days prior to such termination. No written notice of automatic termination need be given to the terminated member. Effect of Termination
(c) All rights of a member shall cease on the termination of such person's membership. Termination shall not relieve the former member from any obligation to the Corporation for charges incurred, services or benefits actually rendered, dues or fees that have accrued, or arising from contract or otherwise.
The Corporation shall retain the right to enforce any such obligation or obtain damages for its breach.
